1. Information We Collect
We collect: name, email, phone, address, profile information, contractor license and insurance documents, payment information (via Stripe), job postings, bids, messages, reviews, IP address, browser type, pages visited, and cookies.
From third parties we receive: background check results from Checkr (pass/fail only stored), payment confirmations from Stripe, SMS delivery status from Twilio, and license verification from state APIs.
Location Privacy
Job locations are stored as approximate coordinates and are never shared directly with contractors before a job is awarded. Only rounded distance estimates are shown — exact addresses, latitude, and longitude are never exposed to other users. Distances under 10 miles are displayed as "Under 10 miles" to prevent reverse engineering of your address.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to: create and manage your account, connect job posters with contractors, process payments, verify credentials, send notifications, improve the platform, power the AI cost estimator, detect fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
Before job award: no personal contact info is shared. After job award: both parties receive each other's name and contact information.
Service providers we share with: Stripe (payments), Checkr (background checks), Twilio (SMS), Supabase (database), Anthropic (AI estimator, anonymized inputs only).
We do not sell your personal data. Ever.
4. Data Retention
Account information retained while account is active plus a reasonable period after. Background check results retained only as required by law. Insurance certificates retained up to 3 years after account closure. Legal acceptance records retained indefinitely.
5. Data Security
We use: TLS/SSL encryption in transit, encryption at rest, row-level security policies, private storage buckets for documents, and regular security reviews.
6. Your Rights
You may access and update your account at any time. To delete your account email support@vividsub.com with subject "Delete My Account" — processed within 30 days. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time.
California residents have additional rights under CCPA including the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale (we do not sell data).
EU/EEA residents have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, and portability.
7. Cookies
We use essential, analytics, and preference cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
8. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes
We will notify you of material changes 14 days before they take effect.
